Corporate Finance: In-depth Financial Analysis
This project was a technical assignment, completed individually as part of my university coursework, where I achieved a First-Class grade (87.5%). It involved the application of financial modeling and valuation techniques to analyze investment opportunities and evaluate corporate performance. Using tools like Excel, I calculated key metrics such as NPV, IRR, and payback periods while exploring scenario analyses to assess the sensitivity of financial outcomes.
The assignment also required an in-depth analysis of financial ratios to evaluate a firm's profitability, efficiency, leverage, and liquidity, drawing from frameworks like the DuPont Model. The project concluded with a DCF valuation, incorporating assumptions on growth, risk, and market conditions to estimate the intrinsic share price of a major company. This assignment highlighted my ability to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application in financial decision-making.
